Will + Kelsey| Engagement| Washington Oaks Garden State Park
Of all the different events & milestones I get to photograph, my absolute favorite is engagement sessions! It's the time in which a photographer really gets to know their clients before their wedding day. While there is always a little bit of nervousness at the beginning of the session for the most part these 1-2 hours we spend together are relaxed and enjoyable!
It's always fun getting to hear how a couple first met, how they got engaged & also how the wedding planning process is coming along, but more than that, I love seeing how they interact with one another during their session. Sometimes I make them do silly things, hold awkward poses or ask them to fake a laugh while looking at a tree but the best part (and the part Im really looking for) are those in between moments. Those moments when the camera isn't in their face and its just the two of them together, so in love.
Will + Kelsey where very sweet, full of joy & I enjoyed every minute of my time spent with them. When I asked Will if he knew how to make Kelsey laugh, he instantly tickled her neck and 5 seconds later we had captured one of my favorite images! When it was time to walk to anther location he grabbed her bag and her hand and they walked together the whole time. When I had them practically swim out to a spot on a rock for some gorgeous sunset photos at the end of our session, he picked her up and carried her back so her dress wouldn't get wet. These are the moments I look for during an engagement session. Their love for one another goes beyond gorgeous photos on beautiful rocks at sunset. It is real, it's selfless and it's forever.
I am so excited that you two have found each other and am honored to be a part of your special day!
