Where do I even begin with this adorable aviation inspired engagement session?! How about from the beginning... Justen & Jazmin were high school sweethearts and met in Spanish class their senior year. Now, seven years later, they are engaged and getting married this Fall at Plantation Oaks Farms! During our initial consultation Jazmin informed me that Justen had a very unique (& quite expensive) hobby that they wanted to include for their engagement portraits.
Every engagement session is unique because the couple we are capturing has their own story to tell, however, we love it when couples add a little something extra that reflects who they are and what they love to do. For Justen & Jazmin this meant heading to Herlong Recreational Airport and capturing images with an actual plane that Justen flies! How cool is that?
Apart from the wow factor of the location and airplane, these two were incredibly easy to photograph. I was surprised to hear that in seven years they had only had photos taken once & it was when he popped the question! In fact, he disguised the proposal as a long overdue couples' photoshoot at the beach with a family friend. At the end of the session Justen suggested they draw a heart in the sand with their initials. Once finished, Jazmin went to walk away but felt a slight tug on her hand. When she turned around, Justen was down on one knee holding out a ring! It was a total surprise and of course, she said YES!
We can't wait to watch these two continue their journey together as they become husband and wife!
